The short answer? Probably.
At this point, I wouldn’t blame them.
Imagine looking out your window and seeing your neighbor slowly patrolling the perimeter of the yard with a mysterious spray bottle, stopping every few feet to inspect leaves like she’s investigating a crime scene…like a maniac on a mission.
That’s me.
Let the record show – my spray bottle is a harmless combo of dish soap, vegetable oil, and water, and is never intentionally sprayed anywhere other than the lil jumper itself (although there have been a few mishaps…)
Then there are the bird videos.
Every so often I’ll freeze in place because a robin is taking a bath…or a cardinal is carrying a twig…or a woodpecker is doing woodpecker things that woodpeckers have probably been doing for millions of years.
To everyone else, it’s just…a bird.
To me? Absolutely groundbreaking footage.
I’m sure my neighbors are wondering why I’m filming what appears to be completely ordinary backyard activity.
What they don’t realize is that this backyard holds the answers to so many scientific nature questions…that only a nature detective can solve.
So yes, I probably look a little ridiculous.
But honestly? I’m too busy solving backyard mysteries to worry about my public image.
So many updates to come, including the truth about House Sparrows.
